CORNWALL – The Cornwall Colts doubled up on the Ottawa Junior Senators 2-1 Thursday night at the Ed Lumley Arena.

Grant Cooper scored his 16th goal of the season with six minutes left in the third to seal the win for the Colts.

Following the game, Cooper – the captain for Team Canada East at the World Junior A Hockey Challenge last month – spent a half hour signing autographs for fans.

The 19-year-old Cooper has also committed to Clarkson University for the 2017-18 season.

Brennan Markell had the other marker for the Colts.

The Colts now have a record of 24-19-2-1 and play next in Kemptville on Sunday.
