CORNWALL – St. Lawrence College is starting 2016 with a new dean.

Debbie Stava recently moved to Cornwall from British Columbia and is eager to get started.

She is finishing her second week on the job.

“I am really looking forward to getting to know people on and off-campus,” Stava said, “Cornwall played a key role in my decision to take this position. I like what I have seen of the city so far, and where the community is heading.”

Stava has 25 years post-secondary education administration experience. She was most recently the associate vice president of Northwest Community College in Terrace, B.C.

“We are very pleased to welcome Debbie to the St. Lawrence College family,” said SLC President Glenn Vollebregt.
