CORNWALL – The Ottawa Junior Senators took advantage of power plays to beat the Cornwall Colts at the Ed Lumley Arena.
In last night’s game (Dec.11), the Colts were first on the board with a goal from Camden McCuaig and a second goal later in the first period.
There was a back and forth as Ottawa answered each of McCuaig’s goals with two goals, both on power play opportunities.
Cornwall’s scoring ended there as Ottawa had two more goals – one on a power play – in the second and then another goal in the third.
The final was 5-2.
The Colts are third in the Yzerman Division with 31 points (15-13-1-0).
They play tonight in Kemptville and host Smiths Falls on Sunday afternoon.
