Colts out of the playoffs

CORNWALL – The Cornwall Colts have been swept out in the first round of the CCHL playoffs by the Rockland Nationals.

The Nationals doubled up on Cornwall 4-2 Thursday night (March 27) at the Ed Lumley Arena to take the best-of-seven series.

Nearly 600 people were in the stands to watch the game.

The Colts’ Bradley Fraser was first on the board in the first period before Remi Gagne answered with a goal for Rockland.

Cornwall was ahead in the second period with a goal from Tristan Miron.

But then the third period saw Rockland rally back with Gabriel Le Houillier scoring three goals including an empty netter with seconds to go.

Rockland now moves on to the semi-finals for the Bogart Cup.
