Two drivers lose cars for excessive speed: O.P.P.

SD&G – Local O.P.P. nabbed two high-flyers on Highway 401 over the weekend.

A South Glengarry man, 24, was allegedly caught going 167 kilometers an hour through South Glengarry on Saturday morning.

A day later in South Dundas, a man from Quebec, 35, was charged after an officer caught a vehicle on radar going 162 kilometers an hour.

Both drivers had their drivers’ licences suspended for a week and their cars impounded for the same amount of time under Ontario’s street racing law.
