Colts’ season comes to an end

SMITHS FALLS – The Cornwall Colts’ playoff run has come to an end.

The Colts were thumped 6-1 Sunday by the Smiths Falls Bears in the second round of the CCHL playoffs.

“After a tough loss tonight the Colts Season has ended! Best of luck to Smiths Falls moving forward! We would like to thank our fans and volunteers for their support thru out (sic) the season and playoffs!,” the team said on social media platform X.

Game five was originally supposed to be played on Friday but was postponed due to “dangerous ice conditions.”

Just over 600 people were in the stands of the Smiths Falls Memorial Center Sunday for what would be the final match.

  • Game One – 2-1 loss in Smiths Falls
  • Game Two – 2-1 loss in Cornwall
  • Game Three – 4-1 win in Smiths Falls
  • Game Four – 4-3 overtime loss in Cornwall
  • Game Five – 6-1 loss in Smiths Falls
