KEMPTVILLE – Grant Cooper scored 4:01 into overtime as the Cornwall Colts laid waste to the Kemptville 73’s 5-4 Tuesday night.
Cooper also added a goal during regulation and there were singles from Simon Besner, Peter Angelopoulos and Ryan Patulli.
Kemptville had opened the scoring with two unanswered goals in the first before Cornwall responded with two goals in the second. Each team had two goals in the third to tie it up 4-4 at the end of 60 minutes.
With the win the Colts were able to snap a two-game losing skid.
There were 205 people at the North Grenville Municipal Center for the game.
The Colts next play Thursday night as they host Kanata.
