AVONMORE/MOREWOOD – Two residents in North Stormont and North Dundas are celebrating recent lottery wins.
Thomas Keuhl – a retired truck driver from Avonmore – won the second prize in the Lotto Max draw in early December.
He brought home $152,722.
“I went to the gas station and decided to check my tickets while I was there. I was pretty calm and relaxed when I found out I won,” he said.
He is planning to travel and spend money on his four daughters and their grandchildren.

Maureen Heuff of Morewood matched six of seven Encore numbers and took home $100,000 from a PICK-2 draw on Boxing Day.
The 67-year-old mother of two and grandmother of two plans to travel, pay some bills, upgrade her camper and buy her daughter a new car.
“This win is a dream come true,” Heuff told lottery officials at the OLG Prize Center in Toronto.
