SD&G – There are a number of closures in Cornwall and across the region for the Easter holiday weekend.
You will find banks, schools, government offices and most stores closed on Good Friday because it’s a statutory holiday. Walmart is closed Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
The LCBO is closed Good Friday and Easter Sunday. Select stores will have modified hours on Monday.
The Beer Store will be closed Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
Canada Post outlets are closed on Friday and Monday and there will be no mail delivery or collection on those days.
Here’s a look at city and township closures:
Cornwall
- City offices are closed Friday and Monday. They open again at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.
- There is no garbage and recycling pickup Friday. Friday pickup will be on Saturday. Monday pickup will continue as normal.
- The Cornwall landfill site will be closed Good Friday but will be open for regular hours on Saturday and Monday.
- Cornwall Transit is not running Good Friday. Buses will be running on Saturday and Monday. The transit office is closed Good Friday, Saturday and Monday.
- Cornwall Square is closed Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
- Aquatic Center and Cornwall Civic Complex is open Friday 9 a.m. to 9 a.m. and Saturday, closed Sunday and open Monday 3:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- Benson Center is open, including Sunday 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- The Cornwall Public Library is closed Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday. The library will be open Saturday.
South Stormont
- Municipal offices are closed Good Friday and Monday.
- There are no chances to garbage and recycling collection.
- Trillium Road landfill is closed on Good Friday.
South Dundas
- South Dundas Municipal Center office is closed Friday and Monday.
- Garbage and recycling pickup will be collected as normal.
- Matilda landfill is closed Good Friday and Monday.
South Glengarry
- Municipal office will be closed Good Friday and Monday.
- Garbage and recycling will be delayed by one day next week. If your regular collection day is Monday, it will move to Tuesday and so on.
- The landfill is closed Saturday.
North Stormont
- The township office is closed Good Friday and Monday.
- There are no changes to garbage or recycling collection.
North Dundas
- The municipal office is closed Friday and Monday.
- Curbside garbage and recycling is unaffected by the holidays.
- The Boyne Road landfill is closed Friday and Monday.
North Glengarry
- The municipal office is closed Friday and Monday.
- Garbage and recycling pickup will be collected as normal on Good Friday and Easter Monday.
