Libbey named 2023 Citizen of the Year

CORNWALL – Wes Libbey has been named the 2023 Cornwall Citizen of the Year.

Libbey was bestowed the honour on Friday night during the Cornwall and Area Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards at Ramada Cornwall.

The Kinsmen has been the volunteer coordinator of the Kinsmen Music Festival for 20 years and been involved in a number of local ventures. You may know him as the town crier.

“It’s a pleasant surprise to receive this award…you can’t do all the things I do without the support of my family,” Libbey said in his acceptance speech.

“Cornwall is good to us and we like to give back,” he added.
