CORNWALL – It’s time for your pick of the best and brightest businesses in the Cornwall area and the next citizen of the year.
Nominations have opened for the 38the annual Business Excellence Awards and the 54th Citizen of the Year gala.
“We are calling on our community members, business leaders, and residents to help us shine a spotlight on the individuals and organizations who make Cornwall a vibrant, innovative, and supportive place to call home,” the Cornwall and Area Chamber of Commerce said in a news release Thursday.
There are 10 business award categories, including new business of the year, young professional of the year and lifetime achievement.
Submissions close on June 29.
The gala is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 2. Chamber officials are still finalizing a location.
City foot specialist Michael Turcotte was named the 2025 Cornwall Citizen of the Year.
