I can’t remember in my lifetime when a newly minted U.S. president has created such a turmoil not only within his own government but its citizens even before being sworn in. At least Richard Nixon had the courtesy to wait until the waning months of his term in office with the Watergate scandal. Donald Trump has belly flopped into to deep end of the pool without his life jacket with his recent Executive Order.
Now he has fired the top federal government lawyer Sally Yates who defied his recent immigration order. Sounds like he’s going to try to run the government like he did the TV show “The Apprentice.”
American prides itself on being the peace keeper of the world but is surely being ripped apart from within by this man.
If this seems like deja vu, it is. Just remember your history lessons and what happened to the Roman Empire, the most powerful nation in the known world. Hail Caesar or maybe not!
