Update 8:47 a.m. Sunday: The rainfall warning has ended.
SD&G – Cornwall and SD&G can expect a soaking tonight (Saturday).
Environment Canada issued a yellow rainfall warning for the region early this afternoon with 20-40 millimeters (0.8-1.6 inches) of rain, which should start later this afternoon.
It’s due to a Colorado low moving into the region.
The heaviest rain is expected tonight with possible localized higher amounts in thunderstorms.
It could lead to some nuisance flooding because “the ground may have little ability to absorb moisture due to recent rainfall events,” Environment Canada said.
The rain should let up by Easter Sunday morning.
