SD&G – With a winter storm moving into the region, school buses have been cancelled across Cornwall and SD&G today (Dec. 10).

Environment Canada has a “yellow warning” for snowfall with 15-20 centimeters (6-8 inches) of snow expected today and reduced visibility in heavy and blowing snow.

The snow is expected to taper off through tonight.

The transportation consortium Student Transportation of Eastern Ontario (STEO) has cancelled all school buses in the region. The French transportation consortium also cancelled buses.

Schools remain open.

This is the first time this season buses have been cancelled due to the weather.
