CORNWALL – The Cornwall area and SD&G is in for a significant dumping of snow over the next 24 hours or so.
Environment Canada issued a code yellow snowfall warning for the region just before 2 p.m. today (Jan. 14).
A yellow warning means the weather impacts are considered moderate, localized and will be short-term.
It says 15 to 25 centimeters (6 to 10 inches) of snow is expected to fall between tonight and Thursday night.
It will be windy as well causing blowing snow.
“A sharp temperature drop leading to cold wind chills by Thursday morning, during ongoing snowfall, will add to the adverse weather conditions,” the agency said.
