BAINSVILLE – A skilled trades worker from Bainsville is $100,000 richer.
Michel Plante matched six of seven Encore numbers on his Sept. 25 Lotto 6/49 ticket.
“Over the past few months, I’ve started every Monday morning the same way. When I get to work and see my supervisor, I always say, ‘I have good news and I have bad news. The good news is that I’m still working here, and the bad news is that I only won $2 on my lottery tickets,’” Plante laughed as he met with lottery officials in Toronto to collect his prize.
Even when he found out he won, Plante still believed it was all a dream.
“It felt so good to walk into work and say I had won $100,000! This win feels like a breath of fresh air,” Plante said.
The winning ticket was bought at a gas station in Lancaster.
