Speedway hosts two day RaceFest

CORNWALL – Cornwall Motor Speedway hosted its first RaceFest event – two days of racing over the weekend.

Saturday afternoon saw six classes of races at the dirt track oval.

Bruno Richard won the CRSA Sprints. Sabrina Blanchet led the field and took the lightning sprints. Keven Hebert won the modified midget feature, Alex Forcier won the mod lites, Stephane Philippe won the street stocks and Xavier Lauzon was victorious in the second lightning sprint feature.

Sunday saw the addition of the modified and sportsman divisions to the previous race offerings.

Here’s how they finished:

  • Modified – Carey Terrance
  • Sportsman – Nick Markley
  • Lightning Sprints – Keven Boucher Carrier
  • Modified Midgets – Yan Bussiere
  • Street Stocks – Todd Raabe
  • Mod Lites – Pierre Olivier Trudel

The final action of the season will be Thanksgiving weekend with the Canada Super DIRT Weekend and a $125,000 purse on the line.
