TORONTO – A retired skilled trades worker from Winchester is a half-million dollars richer.
Michael “Mike” Prusila won the prize on “The Big Spin” lottery game after casually picking up a $20 instant lottery terminal ticket at a local gas station.
Prusila describes himself as an occasional lottery player of games like Lotto Max and Lotto 6/49.
He had to visit the OLG Prize Center in Toronto to spin the big wheel, where he came up with $500,000.
“It’s surreal. I am happy and I feel good. I would love to do this again,” he told lottery officials. “I enjoy this game and it has been good to me.”
He plans to buy his wife a new car and travel, while investing the rest.
