LANCASTER – South Glengarry has hired away the chief administrative officer of the Village of Merrickville-Wolford.

The township announced Monday it has hired Doug Robertson after a recruitment process using a third party search consultant.

“Council conducted a robust search to the fill the CAO position,” Mayor Lachlan McDonald said in a statement. “We are happy with the outcome.”

Robertson has 30 years of diverse program and project delivery experience and 23 years of management experience, according to the township.

He is most recently the CAO, clerk and economic development director for the Village of Merrickville-Wolford – about 50 kilometers west of Winchester.
