MONKLAND – Provincial police say thieves made off with a safe full of cash during an early morning break-in to a business on Highway 138.

The break-and-enter happened around 3 a.m. Saturday (Jan. 28) and involved two people in a silver Ford F-250 that had a black pinstripe on the side.

Security camera images appear to show one of the men using a chain to drag the safe out of the building.

Police say the safe had a “large sum of money” but didn’t disclose how much or the identity of the business.
