CORNWALL – A forklift driver from Cornwall has picked up a load of money.

Kent Stewart won $1 million after matching all seven numbers on Encore on his Lotto Max ticket on Dec. 20, 2022.

Add $2 to that because one of his other Encore numbers also was a winner, for a total of $1,000,002.

The 57-year-old is a regular lottery player.

“When I saw how much I won, I didn’t believe it – I had butterflies in my stomach and was feeling shaky from all the excitement,” he told lottery officials at the OLG Prize Center in Toronto.

Stewart plans to buy a house and save the rest.

The winning ticket was bought on the OLG website.
