CORNWALL – The Ontario Ministry of Labour says its investigation is complete after a worker fell at a Cornwall yeast processing plant.

An employee at Lallemand on Wallrich Avenue was airlifted to an Ottawa hospital with head injuries Thursday, according to a friend of the victim.

Ministry of Labour spokeswoman Anu Dhar told Cornwall Newswatch an inspector was at the plant on Friday.

“No orders or requirements were issued and the…investigation is complete,” Dhar wrote.

Dhar did not elaborate on the circumstances behind the fall.

Lallemand began operating the plant at 540 Wallrich Avenue in 2019, which it bought after Sensient Flavors closed its operations.
