India IT company opens Cornwall office

CORNWALL – An India-based information technology (IT) company is expanding into Cornwall with plans to hire staff locally.

Zoho Corporation says the Cornwall office at 705 Cotton Mill Street will build its “regional Canadian approach to sales, support, marketing and partner management – including bilingual sales and marketing.”

“The company is hiring locally as well as transferring some staff,” a spokesman told Cornwall Newswatch.

Zoho’s managing director in Canada, Chandrashekar LSP, moved to Cornwall from Montreal last year.

“He chose Cornwall due to its local talent pool, schools and proximity to international airports,” Trevor Campbell said.

Zoho, which develops web-based business tools including the Zoho Office Suite, has 11,000 employees worldwide.

The company says its seen 35 per cent revenue growth and 15 per cent customer growth and “the company plans to expand the Cornwall office as those numbers rise.”

According to its website, Zoho has over 80 million global users, including companies like Amazon India, Suzuki, Hyundai, Rogers and Cisco.
