CORNWALL – In a bid to follow health officials’ advice on social distancing in the face of the coronavirus pandemic, the Cornwall and Area Chamber of Commerce has postponed its Spring Home & Leisure Show.
The event was originally scheduled to be April 3-5, 2020 at the Cornwall Civic Complex.
The chamber of commerce made the decision after consulting with the Dr. Paul Roumeliotis, the region’s medical officer of health.
The chamber will be looking at rescheduling options over the next week.
“We regret having to postpone this popular show and symbol of springtime in Cornwall; however, the chamber supports the city in the decision to cancel events for the next three weeks,” President Shannon Lebrun said. “Hopefully actions like this will curtail the spread of the virus.”
The spring outdoor show is the chamber’s biggest revenue generator.
