ALEXANDRIA – North Glengarry has a new director of public works.
The township announced Friday afternoon that Doug Sitland has been hired and will be starting Feb. 10.
Sitland has a resume that includes jobs with the National Capital Commission and the Government of Nunavut.
He was most recently the director of infrastructure and development for a municipality near Barrie, Ont. (Adjala-Tosorontio).
Sitland takes the position left vacant after Michel Riberdy resigned in December after less than a year on the job to take a position closer to his hometown near Prescott.
