
CORNWALL – One person has been arrested after a stabbing on Pitt Street early Thursday morning, police have revealed.
A section of Pitt Street was closed this morning for a police investigation after the 39-year-old victim was found with stab wounds near Sixth Street.
He was airlifted to hospital with “critical injuries” and is now in stable condition, police said.
It’s believed to be an isolated incident as the victim and the suspect knew each other.
The identity of the person arrested and details of charges are expected Friday.
A section of Pitt Street from Sixth Street to Ninth Street was closed to traffic this morning for the investigation by the CPS Criminal Investigations Branch and the Forensic Identification Unit.
