Radiothon raises over $120K for Cornwall hospital

CORNWALL – The Cornwall and SD&G community has come through with more than $120,000 to help the local hospital pay for a mental health center.

The Corus Caring Hearts Radiothon was held on two local radio stations over 13 hours on Thursday.

In the end, $120,539.40 was raised.

The fundraising dollars will be used to pay for the hospital’s part of the recently opened Community Addiction and Mental Health Center.

The $9.3 million center includes a $1.2 million commitment from the Cornwall Hospital Foundation.

Last year, the radiothon raised $116,320.10.
