CORNWALL – A 3-2 win against the visiting Gloucester Rangers Thursday night has ensured the Cornwall Colts a second overall spot heading into the playoffs.
Nick Lalonde, Dean Derouchie and Grant Cooper scored for the Colts and goalie Liam Lascelle had his 30th victory in net.
The Cornwall CCHL team has finished the regular season with a record of 41-14-4-3 – good for 89 points. Teams in the rest of the league will finish up the season this weekend.
The Colts will have home ice advantage for the first round of the playoffs.
Game one will be Thursday (March 16) at 7:30 p.m. against a team yet to be determined.
