Another OT loss for Cornwall Colts

CORNWALL – For the second time in as many games, the Cornwall Colts lost to an opposing team in overtime.

This time, it was a 4-3 loss to the CCHL-leading Carleton Place Canadians 4-3 on Thursday night.

The Colts had scored two goals one minute apart late in the third period to force the extra period.

Goalie Liam Lascelle turned aside 45 shots as the Canadians outshot Cornwall 49-24.

The Colts were also dealing with having four of their top scorers out of the lineup due to injury or suspension.

On Monday, Cornwall lost to Hawkesbury 2-1 in overtime.

The Colts still hold second place in the CCHL standings, two points ahead of the Ottawa Junior Senators.

The team plays tonight (Friday) in Kanata against the Lasers.
