Cornwall Waterfest is back Saturday

CORNWALL – Dragon boats will be lining the canal this weekend for Cornwall Waterfest.

The annual summer one-day festival starts tomorrow (Saturday) at 8 a.m. at Lock 19 of the Cornwall canal, near the soccer fields on Second Street West.

The event will feature teams of 21 people – including teams from Ottawa police, Nav Canada, Emard Lumber and SigmaPoint – in the dragon boat races.

There will also be a waterfest market with local arts and crafts from over 20 local vendors.

In order to help get people to the event, the Riverdale Cornwall Transit bus route will be picking off and dropping off people near the site.

This is the seventh year for the festival.
