CORNWALL – A motorcyclist remains in hospital with serious injuries after a weekend motorcycle crash.

City police are expected to make a public appeal tomorrow (Wednesday) for anyone who may have seen the crash on Saturday night or may have taken photos at the scene.

It happened near the intersection of Second Street East and Glengarry Boulevard around 6:30 p.m. Saturday night.

Witnesses told Cornwall Newswatch an SUV was involved in the collision with the motorcycle and the area was still barricaded off just before midnight with pylons set up on the road.

Cornwall SDG Paramedic Service Chief Myles Cassidy told CNW the man has serious traumatic injuries to his back and remains at the Ottawa Hospital’s Civic Campus.

Police said Wednesday the vehicle involved was actually a pickup. Anyone with information is asked to call Const. Matt Dupuis at 613-933-5000 extension 2755.
