Editor’s note: The thunderstorm watch has ended for SD&G.
SD&G – Environment Canada has downgraded its advisory to a severe thunderstorm watch for Cornwall and the United Counties.
Earlier it had been upgraded it to a warning but most of the threat of extreme weather has passed and the warning was cancelled at 6 p.m.
The weather agency still said the potential for dangerous thunderstorms is there, which can possibly produce damaging wind, hail and heavy downpours.
The watch covers an area from Winchester to Maxville and Morrisburg to Lancaster.
We were expecting a high today of 30 but it felt like over 40 with the humidity.
Things are not expected to cool off until Wednesday.
