SOUTH STORMONT – A female employee of a township long term care home has been charged with assault.
SD&G O.P.P. responded on Wednesday to a report of an assault on a resident at the facility.
The woman 54, was arrested and charged but later released with a promise to appear in court June 2.
Police say the names of the facility and the accused will not be released to protect the identity of the victim.
SD&G O.P.P. Const. Joel Doiron couldn’t say whether an internal investigation was being conducted by the long term care facility, as police are dealing with the criminal investigation.
