Three weekend roadside drug seizures

SD&G – Provincial police made three roadside drug seizures over the weekend.

A South Stormont man, 24, is charged with drug possession after a traffic stop on Highway 401 in South Glengarry around 3 a.m Saturday morning.

Officers seized some suspected marijuana.

Then Sunday night just before 8 p.m., an officer stopped a vehicle in the same area and charged a Toronto-area man, 26, for possession of marijuana.

Four hours after that (around 11:40 p.m.), officers were called to the MTO weigh scales, where they seized marijuana and methamphetamine pills from a tractor trailer.

A driver, 36, from Sorel-Tracy, Que. is charged with two counts of possession of methamphetamine and a single count of possession of marijuana.

All three accused were released with promises to appear in Alexandria court Mar. 4.
