MASSENA, N.Y. – The exodus continues at Massena’s St. Lawrence Centre with word two more stores will be shutting their doors.
According to the Watertown Daily Times, the Bath & Body Works and clothing store Express will be gone by Feb. 1.
But General Manager David Viola told the paper they are only losing one tenant because a single lease agreement covered both brands.
The news comes after the artisan store, Twisted Turtle, announced its closure last month, blaming a lack of community support and not the mall for its demise.
Sears announced in October 2014 it would be closing the anchor store at the St. Lawrence Centre as part of a company wide restructuring, putting 51 people out of work.
The store has been liquidating stock with a plan to shutter by the middle of this month.
The Watertown Daily Times also lists Memory Lane, Auntie Anne’s and Sbarro’s among the recently closures and plans for FYE (For Your Entertainment – a music store) to close.
Despite the closures, three new stores have been added including Koi Express Japanese, Mad Joe’s Raceway and Home Plate Deli & Pizzeria, bringing the mall’s list of tenants to 35.
