SD&G – Santa might get blown around in his travels Christmas Eve.
Environment Canada has issued a wind warning for southern areas of SD&G from Morrisburg to Lancaster.
It says strong southwesterly winds will develop tonight with sustained speeds of 70 km/h and gusts could reach 90 km/h, especially near the St. Lawrence River.
By Christmas morning, the winds should die down.
Meteorologists say the wind will be strong enough to cause some damage to trees, roof shingles and may blow around loose objects. Power outages are also possible.
