Autopsy results not released in Akwesasne murder

AKWESASNE – While an autopsy has been completed on a man found dead on the weekend on Cornwall Island, Akwesanse police say they won’t be releasing the results.

Akwesasne Police Chief Jerry Swamp also called on the public to give the family of David “Tawit” Benson Hopps some privacy.

Police are still waiting on toxicology and pathology reports as well.

The body of Hopps was found by police officers on a Cornwall Island property on Sunday afternoon.

Rachel Fenn, 39, of Summerstown and Christopher Baldwin, 31, of Westport will appear in court Friday on second-degree murder charges.
