BROCKVILLE – Highway 401 is partially closed just east of here after a deadly early morning two vehicle collision.
O.P.P. say a woman died after an eastbound car lost control and struck a transport, travelling in the same direction.
The accident happened around 5 a.m., just east of Sharpe’s Lane in Leeds County.
The female passenger in the car – Ludmila Sram, 38, of Richmond Hill – was pronounced dead at the scene while the driver – Arina Saveleva, 18, of Woodbridge – was taken to hospital in Brockville and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The eastbound lanes of the highway were scheduled to reopen at 11 a.m.
