SOUTH DUNDAS – Two people from opposite ends of the country are facing charges after a traffic stop on Highway 401.
SD&G O.P.P. say they stopped a vehicle on Wednesday night and seized some marijuana and a switchblade knife.
Police also learned the driver was violating some court-imposed conditions..
The 22-year-old driver from Stephenville, Newfoundland was arrested and charged with two counts of failing to comply with recognizance.
The 41-year-old female passenger from Fort McMurray, Alberta was arrested and charged with drug possession and unauthorized possession of weapon.
O.P.P. didn’t say how the two are related or why they were in the car together.
The man was held for a bail hearing Wednesday while the woman was released with a promise to appear in a Morrisburg court on Dec. 2.
