INGLESIDE – Two men have been charged in connection to a couple of home invasions near Ingleside and Cardinal.
Provincial police say two men forced their way into a trailer on Rombough Road, west of Osnabruck Center, on March 6 and hurt one resident before leaving the scene.
Later that night, about 50 kilometers away, OPP say another home invasion happened on Benson Street in Cardinal where two men broke into a home and assaulted the resident.
The two suspects took off in a black pickup truck.
In both cases the people in the home were alone.
East Region OPP announced today (March 20) a 34-year-old man from South Dundas and a 41-year-old man from North Dundas have been charged.
Each are facing a total of eight charges: two counts each of assault with a weapon, break and enter, making death threats and a single count each of forcible confinement and robbery.
They are both in jail awaiting a court appearance Wednesday (March 25) in Brockville.
