SD&G – School buses have been cancelled across Cornwall and SD&G today (March 11).
The transportation consortium Student Transportation of Eastern Ontario (STEO) has cancelled all school buses in the region. The French transportation consortium also cancelled buses.
STEO says the cancellation is due to “forecasted weather.”
An orange-coded freezing rain warning is in effect with up to 20 millimeters (0.8 inches) of ice buildup expected today.
Schools remain open.
This is the ninth time this season buses have been cancelled due to the weather. The last cancellation was Feb. 20.
St. Lawrence College is also cancelling in-person classes at the Cornwall campus. They will be moved either online or cancelled entirely. Students should check Blackboard for more information.
