CORNWALL – The roaring of engines and floodlights cutting through the clouds of dust will be coming back to Cornwall Center Road this weekend.
Cornwall Motor Speedway is holding a practice session at the dirt oval track tonight (May 8) at 6:30 p.m.
Speedway officials says it’s a “fan favourite and a crucial tune-up for race teams.”
Then on Saturday (May 11), the speedway hosts its opening night on Mothers’ Day with racing in all five divisions. Moms will get reduced admission.
Sunday night will also feature a 25-lap mini-stock race.
Later this month the World of Outlaws sprint car series will be return to Cornwall after a 10-year hiatus on the Sunday of the Victoria Day weekend (May 18).
