CORNWALL – Two years after going independent, Cornwall Motor Speedway will be racing again under DIRTcar sanctions in 2025.

In a news release, the speedway says promoter Raymond Levergne and World Racing Group officials were able to come to an agreement.

“This exciting development will bring enhanced competition and opportunities to the speedway,” the company said in a statement.

Under the DIRTcar sanctions, drivers will have to have a membership, which costs between $80 and $125 U.S. depending on the category of racing.

North Carolina based World Racing Group runs three dirt track series: The World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series, The World of Outlaws Late Model Series and The Super DIRTcar Series.

The speedway went independent in 2022 in order to run a long weekend program in October called the Fall Showdown Weekend.

The speedway plans to have a Canadian Super DIRT Weekend on the Thanksgiving weekend in 2025.
