SUV driver dies in County Road 31 head-on

WINCHESTER – A three-vehicle collision on County Road 31 has claimed the life of a driver from Morrisburg.

SD&G OPP say the crash involving two sport utility vehicles and a transport happened Thursday afternoon (June 27) on County Road 31 (Bank Street) between Winchester and Williamsburg.

One of the SUV drivers – a 50-year-old from Morrisburg – died at the scene.

The victim’s name was not released.

Investigators say one SUV collided head-on with the transport and the second SUV got caught in the wreckage.

The transport driver was treated for minor injuries and the second SUV driver was checked over by paramedics but had no serious injuries, police said.

An investigation into the cause of the crash in ongoing.
