CORNWALL – Two people from Cornwall have been charged in connection with last week’s search of a Montreal Road home.
The Cornwall Police Service used distraction devices Thursday morning (May 16) at an address in the block between Lawrence Avenue and Baldwin Avenue.
Police have charged a 42-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman, both from Cornwall, with drug possession (Schedule I – Opioids), unauthorized possession of a weapon and possession of stolen property.
The CPS says the Street Crime Unit, the Cornwall Emergency Response Team, the OPP’s Biker Enforcement Unit and the Canada Border Services Agency were involved in the search.
Police did not give any details on what was seized.
While residents would have heard loud bangs, police say no guns were fired during the operation.
