Possible sighting of missing Nfld. truck driver

Update 6:42 p.m. Monday, May 6: Tragic end to search for missing truck driver near Summerstown.

SUMMERSTOWN – Provincial police say a missing Newfoundland truck driver may have been seen along Highway 401 near Cornwall.

SD&G OPP say someone partially matching Brian Lush’s description was seen along the westbound lanes of the highway near Boundary Road between 10:30 a.m. and noon on Thursday (April 25).

Police want to speak to anyone who was driving through the area at that time and may have dash cam footage.

Lush was last seen on surveillance video at the Petro-Pass at Summerstown Station around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday (April 24) – a day before the possible sighting near Cornwall.

OPP are also asking hunters and other people with trail cameras in South Glengarry, Cornwall and South Stormont to check their footage.

Lush is described as 5-foot-10 inches tall, 200 pounds with a medium build, brown eyes and short brown hair. He was wearing a blue hoodie, jeans and a baseball cap when he went missing.
