Colts advance to round two of CCHL playoffs

CORNWALL – The Cornwall Colts are advancing to the next round of the Central Canada Hockey League playoffs.

The Colts defeated the visiting Hawkesbury Hawks 6-2 Thursday night.

Scoring for Cornwall were Ethan Montroy with a pair and singles from Tristan Miron, Nathan Garnier, Adam Walker and Luc Beliveau.

The Colts take the best-of-seven after five games. Here’s a rundown of the games played:

  • Game One – 3-2 double overtime win
  • Game Two – 2-1 triple overtime loss
  • Game Three – 6-1 win
  • Game Four – 3-2 win
  • Game Five – 6-2 win

Nearly 1,100 people were in stands at the Ed Lumley Arena to see the Colts advance in their hunt for the Bogart Cup.

“Second round playoff schedule will be released once our opponent is confirmed!” the team said on the social media platform X.
