SD&G – A blanket of freezing rain across the region has resulted in school buses being cancelled across Cornwall and SD&G today (Thursday, Jan. 25).
Student Transportation of Eastern Ontario (STEO) and the French transportation consortium have both cancelled all buses.
Schools remain open for those who can get to school.
This is the fourth time this season buses have been cancelled due to the weather. The last time was Jan. 10.
A freezing rain warning ended just before 5 a.m. this morning. Up to 10 millimeters (0.4 inches) of ice buildup was expected overnight.
