LONG SAULT – A swath of trees has been added to a park in Long Sault.
The township, members of the Raisin Region Conversation Authority (RRCA), TD Bank employees and local citizens planted 200 trees and shrubs last week (Oct. 15) in Arnold Bethune Memorial Park on Simcoe Street.
The trees will replace a lot of ash trees that have died from the emerald ash borer.
The RRCA says it’s planted over a million trees locally since 1994 through various community projects like TD Tree Days.
