Former Mayor Leslie O’Shaughnessy dies

CORNWALL – Leslie O’Shaughnessy, former city mayor and councillor, has died.

O’Shaughnessy died of cancer on Monday at the age of 69.

He was elected mayor in 2014 after he defeated Bob Kilger and then ran for mayor again four years later but placed third. Bernadette Clement was the victor in the 2018 election.

Prior to his mayoral role, he served one full and one partial term as a city councillor.
